The EPIC 6 septic tank is a compact, lightweight and shallow-dig septic tank designed for domestic properties that require a traditional septic tank and suitable drainage field rather than a powered sewage treatment plant.
Manufactured from durable, recyclable HDPE (polyethylene), EPIC uses a low-profile design to reduce excavation depth compared with many conventional septic tanks. The result is a practical solution for properties where installation depth, access or available space can make a traditional tank difficult or expensive to install.
The EPIC 6 has a 3,100-litre capacity and is designed for properties of up to 6 people, with the manufacturer's sizing guidance based on the number of bedrooms rather than simply the current number of occupants. WTE's guidance gives a four-bedroom property a design population of size people.
Unlike many conventional septic tanks, the EPIC is supplied with an integrated Drain-X effluent filter as standard. This filter helps prevent suspended solids, hair, lint and other particles from leaving the tank and entering the drainage field, helping to reduce the risk of premature clogging of the soakaway.
The EPIC requires no electricity, contains no powered treatment equipment and operates using gravity, making it silent in normal operation and particularly simple for off-grid domestic applications.

Delivery charges
Our shipping costs cover most of the UK. However, parts of England, the Scottish Highlands and Islands (including areas north of the Glasgow / Edinburgh border), Isle of Wight, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Anglesey, Western Isles, Shetland Islands, Orkney Islands, Isles of Scilly, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland may cost more.

Overseas orders
International orders are welcome. Payment is by IBAN / SWIFT / BIC, MoneyGram and letters of credit. We regret that credit cards are not accepted for international orders.
A purchase order is required; we will then create a pro-forma invoice, and tanks are ordered on clearance of funds.
If you require additional export documentation — for example a Certificate of Origin, or commercial invoices certified by the Chamber of Commerce — you must notify us before completion of your order, as we will have to invoice cost and admin charges to the order.

Offloading
Unless a HIAB delivery has been booked at additional cost, it is the customer’s responsibility to offload with suitable equipment on the day of delivery. A failed delivery may result in additional charges.
We recommend that installers, plant hire and installation materials — excavators, aggregates and so on — are not booked until you are in receipt of the goods. Tanks Direct cannot be held responsible for costs incurred due to unforeseen delays; please see our terms for more details.
