These machines deliver powerful water jets to remove dirt, grime, and stubborn residues from surfaces like concrete floors, machinery, and industrial vehicles. You'll find options such as surface cleaners for large, flat areas and wheelbarrow tanks for portable water storage, ensuring you have the flexibility to maintain hygiene and presentation across your site. These units are built for durability and efficiency, helping you meet industry standards and keep operations running smoothly. You'll appreciate the reduced labour costs and the ability to handle heavy-duty cleaning without relying on external services. Paired with our water bowsers, these pressure washers provide a steady supply for extended use, making them a practical choice for businesses that need consistent results without interruption.

Pressure Washers FAQs

Do I need mains water to run a pressure washer, or can I feed it from a bowser?

Most pressure washers can draw from a static supply such as a water bowser or tank, provided the unit is self-priming or fitted with an inlet pump. This is standard practice on sites without mains access, letting you keep working across large yards or fields. Just make sure the feed tank is kept topped up and free of debris to avoid starving the pump.

What's the difference between a cold water and hot water pressure washer?

Cold water units are suited to general dirt, mud and grime removal on concrete, vehicles and machinery. Hot water models are more effective on grease, oil and organic residues, as heat breaks down contaminants faster and reduces the need for chemical detergents. Hot units cost more to run but can significantly cut cleaning time on heavily soiled industrial surfaces.

What is a surface cleaner attachment and when would I use one?

A surface cleaner is a rotary attachment with a flat, enclosed head that sits directly on the ground, delivering an even, streak-free clean across large flat areas such as yards, warehouse floors or loading bays. It's far quicker than a standard lance for big surfaces and contains spray and splashback, which is useful in enclosed or occupied spaces. They connect straight onto most trade pressure washers via the standard lance fitting.

How much bar and flow rate do I actually need for commercial use?

For light duty tasks like washing vehicles or small equipment, 100–150 bar is usually sufficient. Heavier jobs such as stripping paint, cleaning concrete or degreasing plant machinery typically call for 150–250 bar with a higher flow rate (litres per minute) to clear debris quickly. If you're unsure, it's better to size up slightly rather than under-power the machine and waste time on repeat passes.

What's a wheelbarrow tank and why would I pair it with a pressure washer?

A wheelbarrow tank is a portable water container mounted on a wheeled frame, letting you move a ready water supply around site rather than running long hose lengths from a fixed source. They're particularly useful on construction sites, farms or large yards where mains access is limited or inconvenient. Paired with a pressure washer, they give you a mobile, self-contained cleaning setup that can be repositioned as needed.

Is wastewater from pressure washing subject to any disposal rules?

Yes — runoff from pressure washing, especially where detergents, oils or vehicle residues are involved, shouldn't be allowed to enter surface water drains or watercourses untreated. Depending on your site and activity, you may need a foul drain connection, a interceptor/separator, or a permit from your local water authority or the Environment Agency. It's worth checking your discharge consent before starting regular heavy-duty washdown operations, particularly on commercial or industrial sites.
