How much slurry storage capacity do I actually need?
Capacity depends on herd size, housing period length and dilution from parlour washings and rainfall. As a rule of thumb, most farms need a minimum of 5-6 months' storage to cover closed periods under Farming Rules for Water, though your local Environment Agency guidance or NVZ rules may require more. What materials are Permastore slurry tanks made from, and why?
