Get your tank seated right, first time.
From kerbside delivery to the final connection — what to prepare on site, what we handle, and the groundwork that saves you a wasted delivery slot.
Before delivery
A few things to have ready
Most delivery problems come down to the offloading, the access route, or the size of the tank itself. Sort these before your slot and the tank goes in the same day.
A level, load-bearing base
Solid and level, sized adequately to cover tank footprint. We always recommend a concrete base, with all groundworks designed by qualified professionals.
A clear route in
Measure gates, hatches and doorways. Consider slimline, sectional or two piece tanks when access is tight. Always look at clearance figures — check yours before ordering.
A way to get it off the lorry
A way to get it off the lorry upon our arrival will be needed if standard delivery is purchased.
When this isn’t possible, we can book HIAB offload with your order to offload the product kerbside (subject to a delivery surcharge).
Common questions
What base do I need?
Reference your install guide for your product for clarification.
Will I need a crane?
For larger or awkwardly sited tanks, please request a HIAB offload. The delivery will offload the tank kerbside using its HIAB crane.
Can I install an underground tank myself?
Below-ground tanks need correct excavation, bedding and backfill to the manufacturer’s spec so if not done correctly, this could result in a failed install with no warranty. We recommend a groundworks contractor for these.
Not sure what your site needs?
If this is below ground, we can send a representative from Klargester to visit and assess site requirements and conditions – anything beyond this we would need drawings and reports by consultants.
