Invicta Skip Compactor - With a choice of 2 Sizes

The Fork Mounted Skip Compactor is designed to achieve optimum skip capacity. Waste is usually deposited into the yard skip and taken away once full. However, in most cases the skip is 30-45 percent full of fresh air. The Skip Compactor, filled with ballast, significantly reduces this and subsequently reduces the number of collections required and money spent in doing so.

Standard Features

  • Adjustable height to suit up to 8 foot deep skips
  • Heel pin locking for the safe attachment to forklift truck
  • Robust and sturdy construction
  • Painted bright orange for safety
  • Filled with a mixture of 10mm Pebbles and crushed sandstone
Model Weight (kg) Centre of Gravity (mm) Length (mm) WiIXO-DTh (mm) Height (mm)

  • Position the forks to the correct distance apart to locate into fork pockets.
  • Remove the safety lynch pin and fork pocket heel pins.
  • Drive the forks fully into the fork pockets.
  • Insert fork pocket heel pins directly behind the heel of the fork and attach safety lynch pin into hole provided.
  • Remove Height Adjustment Pin in the main vertical box section so as to adjust compactor height to suit waste/skip height.
  • Once desired position is achieved insert the Adjustment Pin into the aligned holes and attach safety lynch pin into hole provided.
  • The attachment is now ready for use.
  • The Fork Mounted Skip Compactor should be inspected weekly for general condition with particular attention paid to: A – All weld points, B – Wear and distortion of Fork Pockets, Adjustment Pin and Heel Pins, C – Any damaged/worn components.
  • Damage or failure must be reported and rectified immediately prior to re-use of the attachment.
  • General surface rusting especially in the critical areas should be treated with proprietary inhibitors, primers and paint on a regular basis.
  • The Manager of the department or section where the compactor is to be used must be responsible for ensuring the operators are fully conversant with the unit, its operation and maintenance.
  • Ensure that the heel pins are correctly inserted, retained and positioned in relation to the heel of the fork prior to each and every use.
  • Do not drive into the fork pockets without removing the heel pins.
  • Always travel with the Compactor in its reduced position.
  • Ensure that the Adjustment Pin is retained in position with the Lynch Pin prior to each and every use.
  • Do not travel with the Compactor over rough terrain or carry out excessive cornering.
  • Do not shock load the truck/compactor under any circumstances.
  • Never exert lateral forces against compactor body.
Estimated Lead time: 3 to 5 working days.

Please ensure the product you are ordering is the correct size and suitable for the purpose. Special order, bespoke and non-stock tanks are not returnable. If you order a tank and find it is too big, too small, or unsuitable for your requirements, it can be expensive to return. All our tanks are available for collection ex works. Our suppliers are based all over the UK — please call if you wish to collect.

Overseas orders

International orders are welcome. Payment is by IBAN / SWIFT / BIC, MoneyGram and letters of credit. We regret that credit cards are not accepted for international orders.

A purchase order is required; we will then create a pro-forma invoice, and tanks are ordered on clearance of funds.

If you require additional export documentation — for example a Certificate of Origin, or commercial invoices certified by the Chamber of Commerce — you must notify us before completion of your order, as we will have to invoice cost and admin charges to the order.

We recommend that installers, plant hire and installation materials — excavators, aggregates and so on — are not booked until you are in receipt of the goods. Tanks Direct cannot be held responsible for costs incurred due to unforeseen delays; please see our terms for more details.
