Hotline Off Grid Water Pump Kit
These water pump kits are simple 12v pumping systems to move large quantities of water from one point to another. The float switch for the pump is attached to the trough, as this rises and falls it activates/deactivates the pump. You don't need any special header tanks, e.t.c this product works perfectly well with just a standard water trough. The pump is provided with 30m of hose to connect the water source and the trough itself. This kit is powered by a 12v battery (not included) which sits in a weatherproof control box.
These kits easily integrate with all standard water troughs, so there is no need to worry about issues with the livestock, that you can run across with pasture pumps. These pumps are so flexible in application and compared with the cost of mains water, they are very economical, quickly starting to earn their keep.
The Battery Kit includes:
- Control box and battery compartment: Weatherproof polypropylene, battery life monitor, holds up to 12v 85amp/hr batteries
- 30m hose: 30m 1/2" diameter reinforced hose
- Submersible pump: With 30m cable
The Solar kit also includes a 60 watt solar panel, leads and adjustable mounting frame.
Other information: There is an increasing requirement for landowners and managers to keep livestock away from watercourses. The European Water Framework Directive (WFD) has been establishing a framework for the protection of inland waters, transitional waters (estuaries), coastal waters and groundwater. This is covered by the UK by the Water Environment Regulations of 2003 for England and Wales; the Water Environment and Water Services (Scotland) Act 2003 and The Water Environment Regulations 2003 for Northern Ireland.
Diffuse water pollution for agriculture amounts for 61% of nitrogen entering rivers, up to 40% of phosphorus and 75% of sediment. Fencing off watercourses protects from river bank erosion and relieves poaching, so contributes greatly to cleaner water and promotes growth of healthy native flora and fauna. We can all agree that this is great for our environment, but for landowners who rely on watercourses to water their livestock, it can be very problematic. These battery/solar water pumps have been designed with this issue in mind.
These pumps require a minimum depth of around 50cm to function properly.

If you order a tank and find it is too big, too small, or unsuitable for your requirements, it can be expensive to return. Delivery charges
Our shipping costs cover most of the UK. However, parts of England, the Scottish Highlands and Islands (including areas north of the Glasgow / Edinburgh border), Isle of Wight, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Anglesey, Western Isles, Shetland Islands, Orkney Islands, Isles of Scilly, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland may cost more.

Overseas orders
International orders are welcome. Payment is by IBAN / SWIFT / BIC, MoneyGram and letters of credit. We regret that credit cards are not accepted for international orders.
A purchase order is required; we will then create a pro-forma invoice, and tanks are ordered on clearance of funds.
If you require additional export documentation — for example a Certificate of Origin, or commercial invoices certified by the Chamber of Commerce — you must notify us before completion of your order, as we will have to invoice cost and admin charges to the order.

Offloading
Unless a HIAB delivery has been booked at additional cost, it is the customer’s responsibility to offload with suitable equipment on the day of delivery. A failed delivery may result in additional charges.
We recommend that installers, plant hire and installation materials — excavators, aggregates and so on — are not booked until you are in receipt of the goods. Tanks Direct cannot be held responsible for costs incurred due to unforeseen delays; please see our terms for more details.
