Our GRP enclosures are suitable for the protection of a number of items of industrial equipment, including our own water storage tanks, pump sets, valves in fact there is a housing to suit virtually any industrial product.
Used by Gas, Water and Electricity providers and local authorities along with the Mechanical services industry and many others.
General Construction
Our GRP housings are manufactured from the highest quality GRP materials to withstand the rigours of the harshest weather conditions.
All enclosures have a tough weather resistant polyester gel coat outer, reinforced with a GRP laminate incorporating an encapsulated polyurethane foam core to provide insulation. External colour options are RAL6005 Green or BS 00A05 Industrial Grey. Other colours are available on request.
Insulation is 25 mm thick as standard. This can be increased to a maximum of 100 mm for extreme temperature applications.
Internal finish is a durable polyester gel coat finish in white.
Configurations start as small as 800 x 200 x 800 mm high, up to infinite size.
Available as one-piece units for smaller applications or in sections in 500 mm increments in length and wiIXO-DTh up to a height of 3 metres.
Door furniture includes stainless steel hinges and fixings, Yale type night latch lock assemblies, External door handles, internal door check straps and stays.

Product range
- Smaller GRP enclosures are available as a single piece unit, which are normally delivered to site palletised and only require fixing down to a structural slab or raised kerb ing.
- Larger enclosures are constructed in a metric modular format and can be assembled at our works for delivery as a single unit or, where access restrictions apply, be supplied in sections to allow assembly on site.
- On site assembly is carried out by our own, directly employed engineers. Purewater do not use subcontract labour for enclosure assembly.

- Encapsulated ply backing boards for electrical components and switchgear.
- Tubular heaters and thermostats for frost protection.
- Bulkhead lighting c/w switch.
- Screened spill over screens to the housing walls (to comply with water regulations, back flow prevention).
- Factory prepared pad areas to allow for pipework to pass through housing walls.
- Single or double door assemblies.
- Access man ways to housing roof for applications where space restrictions apply.

Delivery
All our GRP tanks are for delivery by customer offload. This entails the customer to acquire the right manpower and/or machinery to help unload the tank/s from the delivery vehicle.
If you require assistance with offloading, we may be able to offer a tail lift (lowers the tank to the ground) or HIAB (lorry with a mounted crane to winch the tank off the delivery vehicle). Please contact us if this is required for delivery.

Important — please read
Please ensure the product you are ordering is the correct size and suitable for the purpose. Special order, bespoke and non-stock tanks are not returnable. If you order a tank and find it is too big, too small, or unsuitable for your requirements, it can be expensive to return. Delivery charges
Our shipping costs cover most of the UK. However, parts of England, the Scottish Highlands and Islands (including areas north of the Glasgow / Edinburgh border), Isle of Wight, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Anglesey, Western Isles, Shetland Islands, Orkney Islands, Isles of Scilly, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland may cost more.

All our tanks are available for collection ex works. Our suppliers are based all over the UK — please call if you wish to collect.
Overseas orders
International orders are welcome. Payment is by IBAN / SWIFT / BIC, MoneyGram and letters of credit. We regret that credit cards are not accepted for international orders.
A purchase order is required; we will then create a pro-forma invoice, and tanks are ordered on clearance of funds.
If you require additional export documentation — for example a Certificate of Origin, or commercial invoices certified by the Chamber of Commerce — you must notify us before completion of your order, as we will have to invoice cost and admin charges to the order.

Offloading
Unless a HIAB delivery has been booked at additional cost, it is the customer’s responsibility to offload with suitable equipment on the day of delivery. A failed delivery may result in additional charges.
We recommend that installers, plant hire and installation materials — excavators, aggregates and so on — are not booked until you are in receipt of the goods. Tanks Direct cannot be held responsible for costs incurred due to unforeseen delays; please see our terms for more details.
