Deso 650 Litre Slimline Bunded Heating Oil Tank
The DESO SL650BT 650 Litre Slimline Bunded Oil Tank is a compact and practical solution for storing heating oil in locations where installation space is restricted.
Its narrow slimline design makes it particularly suitable for smaller gardens, pathways, restricted access areas and properties where a conventional wider oil tank may take up too much valuable space. Despite its compact dimensions, the SL650BT provides a useful 650 litre capacity, making it an excellent choice for smaller domestic heating oil requirements.
Manufactured in the UK from high-quality polyethylene, the tank is designed to provide a durable, corrosion-resistant solution for long-term outdoor fuel storage. Its fully bunded construction provides secondary containment around the inner tank for additional protection against leaks.
Supplied with essential fittings including an overfill prevention valve, inspection access, vent, bottom outlet and secure lockable access, the DESO SL650BT provides everything needed for a dependable heating oil storage installation.

Slimline Design for Restricted Spaces
The main advantage of the DESO SL650BT is its narrow, space-saving design.
At approximately 630-650mm wide, the tank is particularly useful for installations where a traditional round or horizontal oil tank would be too large.
This makes the SL650BT an excellent option for smaller gardens, alongside buildings and other areas where available installation space needs to be used efficiently.
Fully Bunded Construction
The DESO SL650BT features a tank-within-a-tank design to provide additional protection for stored heating oil.
The inner tank acts as the primary fuel storage vessel, while the outer tank forms a secondary containment area. In the event of a leak from the inner tank, the surrounding bund is designed to contain the escaped fuel.
This provides greater protection than a traditional single skin tank and helps reduce the potential risk of escaped heating oil reaching the surrounding environment.
Durable Polyethylene Construction
Manufactured from premium-grade polyethylene, the DESO SL650BT is designed for demanding outdoor fuel storage applications.
The polyethylene construction provides excellent corrosion resistance and impact strength, while UV stabilisation helps protect the tank against prolonged exposure to sunlight and outdoor conditions.
Unlike a traditional steel tank, the polyethylene body will not rust, helping to keep long-term maintenance requirements to a minimum.
Delivery Information
Standard tank deliveries are kerbside, meaning the tank is delivered to the kerb and is not positioned further on site.
We recommend not to book any installation or machinery until the tank has been delivered. We will not be responsible for any additional cost occurred with delayed deliveries.
Failed deliveries may result in additional charges.

Please ensure the product you are ordering is the correct size and suitable for the purpose. Special order, bespoke and non-stock tanks are not returnable. If you order a tank and find it is too big, too small, or unsuitable for your requirements, it can be expensive to return. Delivery charges
Our shipping costs cover most of the UK. However, parts of England, the Scottish Highlands and Islands (including areas north of the Glasgow / Edinburgh border), Isle of Wight, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Anglesey, Western Isles, Shetland Islands, Orkney Islands, Isles of Scilly, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland may cost more.

All our tanks are available for collection ex works. Our suppliers are based all over the UK — please call if you wish to collect.
Overseas orders
International orders are welcome. Payment is by IBAN / SWIFT / BIC, MoneyGram and letters of credit. We regret that credit cards are not accepted for international orders.
A purchase order is required; we will then create a pro-forma invoice, and tanks are ordered on clearance of funds.
If you require additional export documentation — for example a Certificate of Origin, or commercial invoices certified by the Chamber of Commerce — you must notify us before completion of your order, as we will have to invoice cost and admin charges to the order.

Offloading
Unless a HIAB delivery has been booked at additional cost, it is the customer’s responsibility to offload with suitable equipment on the day of delivery. A failed delivery may result in additional charges.
We recommend that installers, plant hire and installation materials — excavators, aggregates and so on — are not booked until you are in receipt of the goods. Tanks Direct cannot be held responsible for costs incurred due to unforeseen delays; please see our terms for more details.
