BioRock Beasy Non-Electrical 2PE Sewage Treatment Plant

The Graf Biorock Beasy 2PE is a compact, non-electrical sewage treatment plant designed for small households, and off-grid properties across the UK.

Tested and certified to BS EN 12566–3 standards, it produces high-quality effluent that complies with the Environment Agency's General Binding Rules (subject to site suitability).

Unlike conventional systems that rely on pumps or blowers, the Beasy operates without electricity, relying on a proven natural biological process to clean wastewater. This makes it an energy-free, low-maintenance, and sustainable alternative for homeowners who want reliable wastewater treatment with minimal running costs.

Features and Benefits of the Biorock Beasy Sewage Treatment Plant:

Features:

  • 100% non-electrical treatment process
  • Biorock mineral media (long lifespan, no replacement required)
  • Certified to BS EN 12566-3 and CE marked
  • Robust, lightweight polyethylene tank for easy installation
  • Compact footprint for small plots and gardens
  • 25 year Tank Warranty

Benefits:

  • Energy-Free Operations - no electricity costs, reliable in power cuts
  • Environmentally Friendly - Natural, chemical-free wastewater treatment
  • Low Maintenance - No moving parts, pumps, or blowers to service
  • Odour-Free and Silent - Discreet and neighbour-friendly
  • Ideal for intermittent Use - Perfect for holiday homes and seasonal occupancy
  • Proven Compliance - Tested and certified to meet UK/EU effluent standards

Applications

  • Permanent Small Residences (up to 2 persons)
  • Holiday Cottages, Chalets, and Seasonal Properties
  • Off-Grid Homes and Remote Rural Locations
  • Eco-Friendly housing Projects
  • Septic tank replacements where discharge regulations require higher effluent quality

*Please note that BIOROCK BEASY is not suitable for domestic dwellings, as a minimum of 5PE is required.

How does the Biorock Beasy?

  1. Primary Settlement - Wastewater enters the settlement tank where solids sink and fats/oils float, separating naturally
  2. Biological Filtration - The pre-treated effluent flows by gravity into the Biorock unit, passing through the unique Biorock mineral media. This media supports a stable colony of aerobic bacteria which digest organic pollutants.
  3. Final Effluent - The result is a clear odourless discharge that meets stringent environmental standards, suitable for soak away systems, drainage fields, or where permitted, direct watercourse discharge (please check with your local environmental agency first).

Versus Conventional Septic Tanks:

Unlike a standard septic tank, the Beasy actively treats wastewater, significantly improving effluent quality and reducing environmental impact.

Versus Electrical Treatment Plants:

Competing small treatment plants (e.g. aeration-based units) rely on pumps and blowers, requiring ongoing energy use and maintenance. The Biorock Beasy achieves similar purification without electricity or moving parts, lowering operating costs.

Versus Reed Beds or Constructed Wetlands:

While natural treatment systems also require no electricity, they demand much larger areas of land and higher installation costs. The Beasy provides a compact alternative.

Overseas orders

A purchase order is required; we will then create a pro-forma invoice, and tanks are ordered on clearance of funds.
