6000 Litre Sectional Water Tank, Internally Flanged Base (IFB), Divided, AB Airgap

6000 Litre GRP Sectional Water Tank, a sectional tank with an internally flanged base and externally flanged sides. Modular construction utilising bolt together panels suitable for on-site assembly.

Insulated and WRAS approved for use with potable water. Suitable for a variety of applications including process cooling, rainwater harvesting and many other systems and processes where containment of water is necessary. All gaskets, seals and fixings for assembly are included. Available for self-assembly, or on site assembly is available by qualified engineers for an additional cost.

What's the Divided Section for in a sectional tank?

Tanks with an internal division, which is also known as a maintenance division, are suitable for buildings that we require an uninterrupted water supply during periods of maintenance to the tank. The internal divider creates two isolated compartments within a single tank, which enables one side of the tank to be taken out of service for maintenance, whilst water supply is maintained to the building via the second compartment of the tank.

Please note: divided tanks are essentially two separate tanks & therefore require double the quantity of connections, i.e. 2 x inlet connections & 2 x outlet connections to the down services.

IFB tanks are suitable for positioning onto a flat, level and continuous foundation, normally a structural concrete slab.

IFB tanks require a minimum of 500 mm working clearance all around the tank, a minimum of 500 mm above the man-way height and/or 350 mm above any raised float valve housing.

Optional Extras:

Screened lid vent
Screened overflow ¾' (22 mm) up to 4"
Screened warning pipe ¾' (22 mm)
BSP female tank connector 1" up to 4"
Lid mounted level switch to suit high or low warning Temperature sensor

Important: All water storage tanks supplying water to a potable system require pre-commission cleaning and sterilisation, we can also carry out this work and issue the appropriate certificates.

An Internally Flanged Base Tank (IFB) is the most cost-effective sectional tank format and is suitable for: Positioning onto a flat, solid, level and continuous foundation.

Applications where there is sufficient working room all around the tank.

Comprising: Internally flanged base, externally flanged sides, internally flanged roof.

Insulated to the sides and cover only.

On Site assembly by a nationwide network of highly trained engineers, enabling us to get to you no matter where you are. Hand-picked by the manufacturers of the GRP Tanks themselves.

Having your Sectional tank assembled on site saves all the hassle of piecing the tank together, being cost-effective and also validating the warrantee.

Another process to save time and worry is to have your new sectional tank cleaned once installed. This process is normally put on the back burner, however once an engineer has entered the tank, drilled holes, set the tank up, the tank has contaminants within it which can harbour harmful bacteria, so it's a good code of practice to get the tank cleaned once assembled on site. You can select this option above, or you can contact us for a quote.

To view the areas which the option of assembly is offered, please see below for postcodes or view our conplete list of sectional tanks assembly zones here.

By selecting the onsite assembly option, you must agree & ensure that all tank components will be taken to the area where the tank is to be assembled prior to the engineer’s arrival to site.

Once the assembly is complete, engineers will ask your nominated site contact to check the assembly & sign to confirm that they are happy with the works.
