61 Litre Rigid waste / Grey water tank
The discharge of marine toilets ('black water') and of sinks and showers ('grey water') directly overboard in yacht harbours or other sheltered water is more and more restricted nowadays. In order to overcome this problem and yet fully comply with the rules, VETUS has developed a system for temporary on board storage of waste water.
This waste can then be discharged overboard whilst sailing in open water or, preferably, pumped into a holding tank or sewer at a convenient point ashore. These tanks may be installed in existing craft relatively simply, without the necessity to replace the marine toilet. Owing to the special odour impermeable material used and to the thick wall construction, these VETUS waste water tanks are designed for the temporary storage of 'black water' (toilet waste). The waste water tank will need an inlet connection for each toilet, shower, washbasin etc.
A connection kit BTKIT, 'no-smell' sanitary hoses and angled connectors for inlet and tank ventilation in various diameters may be ordered separately to suit your requirements. Please note that to prevent unpleasant odours, we recommend the use of separate tanks for 'black water' and 'grey water' waste. When a marine toilet is connected to the tank the use of VETUS odour tight sanitation hose is an absolute must. Other accessories such as deck plates, extraction pipes, hoses etc. may be ordered separately as required.
The use of a VETUS diaphragm pump is recommended to empty the tank.

Please ensure the product you are ordering is the correct size and suitable for the purpose. Special order, bespoke and non-stock tanks are not returnable. If you order a tank and find it is too big, too small, or unsuitable for your requirements, it can be expensive to return. Delivery charges
Our shipping costs cover most of the UK. However, parts of England, the Scottish Highlands and Islands (including areas north of the Glasgow / Edinburgh border), Isle of Wight, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Anglesey, Western Isles, Shetland Islands, Orkney Islands, Isles of Scilly, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland may cost more.

Overseas orders
International orders are welcome. Payment is by IBAN / SWIFT / BIC, MoneyGram and letters of credit. We regret that credit cards are not accepted for international orders.
A purchase order is required; we will then create a pro-forma invoice, and tanks are ordered on clearance of funds.
If you require additional export documentation — for example a Certificate of Origin, or commercial invoices certified by the Chamber of Commerce — you must notify us before completion of your order, as we will have to invoice cost and admin charges to the order.

Offloading
Unless a HIAB delivery has been booked at additional cost, it is the customer’s responsibility to offload with suitable equipment on the day of delivery. A failed delivery may result in additional charges.
We recommend that installers, plant hire and installation materials — excavators, aggregates and so on — are not booked until you are in receipt of the goods. Tanks Direct cannot be held responsible for costs incurred due to unforeseen delays; please see our terms for more details.
