55 ltr Flexible Water Tank - Potable
Vetus flexible rectangle water tank for the storage of potable water. These tanks can be installed easily and quickly, they assume the shape of the space in which they are placed and they can be positioned in places that are normally difficult to reach. Also, generally speaking, there is no need for any additional installation parts. In fact, fitting the outlet nipple and connecting the hoses for inlet and outlet are the only things to be done.
Each flexible drinking water tank has two right angle nipples as standard supply:
One for connection to the filling pipe (Diameter: 38 mm)
One for connection to the pump hose (Diameter: 16 mm).
The filler nipple comes fitted to the top of the tank and the other one is supplied loose for easy fitment in any desired position. We not only weld the seams, but in addition we also weld an extra strip (see drawing A).This makes the VETUS flexible tank resistant against much higher pressures, especially if the contents are moving when the boat is rolling or pitching.
The fabric of VETUS flexible water tanks consists of three layers:
1. a wear resistant layer
2. a reinforcement layer
3. a taste-free layer

Please ensure the product you are ordering is the correct size and suitable for the purpose. Special order, bespoke and non-stock tanks are not returnable. If you order a tank and find it is too big, too small, or unsuitable for your requirements, it can be expensive to return. Delivery charges
Our shipping costs cover most of the UK. However, parts of England, the Scottish Highlands and Islands (including areas north of the Glasgow / Edinburgh border), Isle of Wight, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Anglesey, Western Isles, Shetland Islands, Orkney Islands, Isles of Scilly, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland may cost more.

Overseas orders
International orders are welcome. Payment is by IBAN / SWIFT / BIC, MoneyGram and letters of credit. We regret that credit cards are not accepted for international orders.
A purchase order is required; we will then create a pro-forma invoice, and tanks are ordered on clearance of funds.
If you require additional export documentation — for example a Certificate of Origin, or commercial invoices certified by the Chamber of Commerce — you must notify us before completion of your order, as we will have to invoice cost and admin charges to the order.

Offloading
Unless a HIAB delivery has been booked at additional cost, it is the customer’s responsibility to offload with suitable equipment on the day of delivery. A failed delivery may result in additional charges.
We recommend that installers, plant hire and installation materials — excavators, aggregates and so on — are not booked until you are in receipt of the goods. Tanks Direct cannot be held responsible for costs incurred due to unforeseen delays; please see our terms for more details.
