Product Overview
The 460 Litre Upright Baffled Water Tank is a compact and robust solution for the storage and transportation of potable water and other compatible liquids.
Manufactured from durable polyethylene, the tank features an upright rectangular design that makes efficient use of available floor space. Upright Baffled Design
Unlike a standard water storage tank, this model incorporates internal baffling to help control the movement of liquid during transportation.
When a vehicle accelerates, brakes or changes direction, water inside an unbaffled tank can move rapidly from side to side. The internal baffle system restricts this movement, helping to reduce liquid surge and improve stability when transporting the tank.
Water tanks can be extremely hazardous when transporting large volumes of liquids. Please make sure that they are installed and secured by a suitable qualified person before transportation.
The design makes this tank particularly suitable for applications where water or other compatible liquids are regularly transported.
Please note: The internal baffles occupy space within the tank and therefore reduce the available capacity compared with an equivalent unbaffled tank.

If you order a tank and find it is too big, too small, or unsuitable for your requirements, it can be expensive to return. Delivery charges
Our shipping costs cover most of the UK. However, parts of England, the Scottish Highlands and Islands (including areas north of the Glasgow / Edinburgh border), Isle of Wight, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Anglesey, Western Isles, Shetland Islands, Orkney Islands, Isles of Scilly, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland may cost more.

All our tanks are available for collection ex works. Our suppliers are based all over the UK — please call if you wish to collect.
Overseas orders
International orders are welcome. Payment is by IBAN / SWIFT / BIC, MoneyGram and letters of credit. We regret that credit cards are not accepted for international orders.
A purchase order is required; we will then create a pro-forma invoice, and tanks are ordered on clearance of funds.
If you require additional export documentation — for example a Certificate of Origin, or commercial invoices certified by the Chamber of Commerce — you must notify us before completion of your order, as we will have to invoice cost and admin charges to the order.

Offloading
Unless a HIAB delivery has been booked at additional cost, it is the customer’s responsibility to offload with suitable equipment on the day of delivery. A failed delivery may result in additional charges.
We recommend that installers, plant hire and installation materials — excavators, aggregates and so on — are not booked until you are in receipt of the goods. Tanks Direct cannot be held responsible for costs incurred due to unforeseen delays; please see our terms for more details.
