Product Overview
The 400 Litre Window Cleaning Water Tank is a robust and practical solution for the storage and transportation of potable water and a wide range of other compatible liquids.
Manufactured from durable MDPE / medium-density polyethylene, this upright tank provides a nominal capacity of 400 litres, equivalent to approximately 88 imperial gallons.
Designed specifically with mobile applications in mind, the tank incorporates an integrated baffling system to help reduce the movement of water during transportation. The baffles are formed by grooves and openings running through the tank, which interrupt the movement of liquid and help reduce water sloshing from side to side.
This makes the tank particularly well suited to professional window cleaners, car valeters and other businesses that need to transport significant quantities of water as part of their daily operations.
The natural version is manufactured from translucent polyethylene, allowing the approximate water level to be viewed through the tank. This provides a convenient way to monitor the remaining water supply without having to open the tank.
The tank is supplied with an 8" lid and 1" BSP outlet, providing convenient access for filling, inspection and cleaning, together with a standard connection point for compatible taps, hoses, pumps and other equipment.
At approximately 26 kg when empty, the tank provides a substantial water capacity while remaining manageable to position before filling.

Upright Design
The 400 Litre Window Cleaning Water Tank has been designed in an upright configuration to provide substantial water storage while maintaining a relatively narrow profile.

Integrated Baffle System
A key feature of this tank is its integrated baffling system.
The baffles are formed by grooves and openings that pass through the tank. These interrupt the movement of water and help prevent large quantities of liquid from freely moving from one side of the tank to the other.
This is particularly important when transporting water in a vehicle.
When a vehicle accelerates, brakes or changes direction, an unbaffled tank can allow the stored liquid to move significantly. This movement, commonly referred to as sloshing or surge, can affect the stability and handling of the vehicle.
The internal baffles help reduce this movement, making the tank particularly suitable for mobile water transportation.
The baffles reduce water movement but do not eliminate it completely. The tank must therefore still be properly installed, supported and securely restrained before transportation.
Please note that the manufacturer states that the design of the baffles will reduce the overall usable capacity of the tank.

Overseas orders
International orders are welcome. Payment is by IBAN / SWIFT / BIC, MoneyGram and letters of credit. We regret that credit cards are not accepted for international orders.
A purchase order is required; we will then create a pro-forma invoice, and tanks are ordered on clearance of funds.
If you require additional export documentation — for example a Certificate of Origin, or commercial invoices certified by the Chamber of Commerce — you must notify us before completion of your order, as we will have to invoice cost and admin charges to the order.

Offloading
Unless a HIAB delivery has been booked at additional cost, it is the customer’s responsibility to offload with suitable equipment on the day of delivery. A failed delivery may result in additional charges.
We recommend that installers, plant hire and installation materials — excavators, aggregates and so on — are not booked until you are in receipt of the goods. Tanks Direct cannot be held responsible for costs incurred due to unforeseen delays; please see our terms for more details.
