200 Litre Conical Water Tank
(Image is an Example only)
Product Overview
The 200 Litre Conical Water Tank is a robust and versatile solution for the storage and transportation of potable water and a wide range of other compatible liquids.
Manufactured from durable MDPE / polyethylene, this conical tank provides a practical 200 litre storage capacity, equivalent to approximately 44 imperial gallons.
The conical design provides a number of practical benefits over conventional flat-bottomed tanks, particularly where drainage, emptying and cleaning are important. The sloping base helps liquids and residual contents move towards the outlet, making the tank well suited to applications where efficient draining is required.
The tank is manufactured in a natural translucent finish, allowing the approximate water level to be viewed through the tank wall. This makes it easier to monitor the remaining contents without needing to open the tank.
The tank features 1" BSP female outlets on both the side and bottom, providing flexibility when connecting pipework, taps, hoses, pumps or other compatible equipment. It also incorporates 18 × M8 inserts around the middle of the tank, providing fixing points for suitable mounting arrangements.
With an empty weight of approximately 11 kg and an overall height of approximately 975 mm, the tank provides a useful combination of capacity, durability and practical handling.

Conical Design for Efficient Drainage
One of the key advantages of this 200 Litre Water Tank is its conical base.
Unlike a conventional flat-bottomed tank, the sloping base directs the contents towards the lower outlet, helping the tank to drain more efficiently.
This makes the tank particularly useful for applications where the tank needs to be emptied regularly or where minimising residual liquid is important.
Conical tanks can be particularly beneficial for:
- Water storage
- Liquid processing
- Dosing applications
- Agricultural applications
- Mixing applications
- Cleaning and maintenance
- Temporary liquid storage
- Compatible chemical storage
The conical design also makes the tank easier to clean and drain compared with some conventional flat-bottom configurations.
Tanks Direct's wider cone-tank range highlights the advantage of conical tanks where full drainage and clean-out are important.
M8 Fixing Inserts
The tank incorporates 18 × M8 inserts around the middle of the tank, providing additional options for securing or mounting suitable accessories and support arrangements.
These fixing points can provide useful flexibility when incorporating the tank into a bespoke installation.
Any mounting system should be appropriately designed for the filled weight of the tank and should not place excessive stress on the polyethylene tank wall.
Applications
The 200 Litre Conical Water Tank is suitable for a wide range of applications, including:
- Potable water storage
- Potable water transportation
- Agricultural applications
- Horticultural applications
- Liquid processing
- Dosing applications
- Mixing applications
- General-purpose liquid storage
- Commercial water storage
- Temporary water storage
- Compatible chemical storage
- Cleaning and maintenance applications
Its conical base and flexible outlet arrangement make it particularly useful for applications where efficient drainage and easy access to the stored liquid are important.
The tank should only be used with liquids that are compatible with the MDPE / polyethylene construction and selected fittings.
