Robust Galvanised Steel Construction
Storing 150,000 litres of water requires a structure designed to cope with significant loads. This tank uses corrugated steel panels to provide the necessary strength while maintaining a practical sectional design.
The steel is approved to BS2989:1982 and galvanised with lead-free zinc to 275g/m² in accordance with EN10142.
Galvanisation helps protect the steel against corrosion, providing a durable exterior that is well suited to demanding outdoor environments.
40% Structural Safety Margin
This tank incorporates a minimum 40% structural safety margin within its design, providing additional strength and reassurance for large-volume water storage.
The 40% safety margin relates to the structural strength of the tank and does not increase its usable storage capacity. The tank should not be filled beyond its stated maximum volume.
Durable Greenseal EPDM Liner
Water is contained within a flexible Greenseal EPDM liner, creating a watertight barrier inside the galvanised steel structure.
The 0.75mm liner material offers excellent resistance to UV exposure, abrasion and cutting, making it well suited to outdoor water storage installations.
The combination of the flexible liner and strong corrugated steel structure creates a dependable system for storing substantial quantities of water.
Agricultural and Horticultural Water Storage
Water availability is particularly important for farms, nurseries and horticultural businesses where seasonal irrigation demands can be considerable.
With space for up to 150,000 litres of water, this tank provides the capacity needed to support larger irrigation and water management systems.
It can be used as part of a new installation or to increase the storage available within an existing system.
Supplied in Kit Form
A key advantage of sectional steel water tanks is their ability to be transported to site in kit form.
Instead of needing to move an enormous pre-assembled tank into position, the individual components can be delivered before the tank is constructed at its final installation location.
A photographic instruction manual is provided to assist with assembly. Correct ground preparation, access and installation requirements should always be considered before ordering and filling the tank.
Suitable for a Wide Range of Applications
With a substantial 150,000 litre capacity, this tank can be incorporated into many different agricultural, horticultural and commercial water management systems.
Typical applications include:
- Agricultural water storage
- Rainwater harvesting
- Water recycling
- Crop irrigation
- Horticultural irrigation
- Nurseries and garden centres
- Sports pitch irrigation
- Aquaculture
- Dust suppression
- Grey water storage
- Water attenuation
- Emergency water storage
