SL1400BT 1400 Litre Slimline Bunded Heating Oil Tank
The DESO SL1400BT 1400 Litre Slimline Bunded Oil Tank offers a practical and secure solution for storing heating oil where available space is limited.
Featuring a narrow slimline design, this tank is particularly well suited to properties where access or installation space may make a wider conventional tank unsuitable. Despite its compact 660mm width, the SL1400BT provides a generous 1400 litre storage capacity, making excellent use of the available space.
Manufactured in the UK from high-grade polyethylene, the tank combines a tough, corrosion-resistant construction with the additional protection of an integral bund. It is suitable for domestic and commercial fuel storage applications.

Slimline Design for Restricted Spaces
One of the main advantages of the DESO SL1400BT is its space-saving design.
Measuring just 660mm wide, the tank is considerably narrower than many conventional oil storage tanks, making it an ideal choice for properties with limited installation space.
The slim profile is particularly useful for installations alongside buildings or in other restricted areas where a wider tank may not be practical.
Fully Bunded for Additional Protection
The SL1400BT features a fully bunded tank-within-a-tank construction.
The inner tank contains the heating oil, while the surrounding outer tank provides secondary containment. In the event of a leak from the inner tank, the bund is designed to contain the escaped fuel and reduce the risk of environmental contamination.
This construction provides additional security for your stored heating oil and makes the tank suitable for a wide range of modern oil storage installations.
Secure Lockable Access
The SL1400BT features a lockable manhole cover, helping protect the tank fittings and stored fuel against unauthorised access.
This is particularly beneficial for tanks positioned outside or in locations that are easily accessible.
Delivery
This tank will be delivered on tail lift vehicle and delivered Kerbside and wont be put into place by the driver. It is down to the customer to move this tank once offloaded.
We recommend not to book any installation or machinery until the tank has been delivered. We will not be responsible for any additional cost occurred with delayed deliveries.
Failed deliveries may result in additional charges.

Please ensure the product you are ordering is the correct size and suitable for the purpose. Special order, bespoke and non-stock tanks are not returnable. If you order a tank and find it is too big, too small, or unsuitable for your requirements, it can be expensive to return. Delivery charges
Our shipping costs cover most of the UK. However, parts of England, the Scottish Highlands and Islands (including areas north of the Glasgow / Edinburgh border), Isle of Wight, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Anglesey, Western Isles, Shetland Islands, Orkney Islands, Isles of Scilly, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland may cost more.

All our tanks are available for collection ex works. Our suppliers are based all over the UK — please call if you wish to collect.
Overseas orders
International orders are welcome. Payment is by IBAN / SWIFT / BIC, MoneyGram and letters of credit. We regret that credit cards are not accepted for international orders.
A purchase order is required; we will then create a pro-forma invoice, and tanks are ordered on clearance of funds.
If you require additional export documentation — for example a Certificate of Origin, or commercial invoices certified by the Chamber of Commerce — you must notify us before completion of your order, as we will have to invoice cost and admin charges to the order.

Offloading
Unless a HIAB delivery has been booked at additional cost, it is the customer’s responsibility to offload with suitable equipment on the day of delivery. A failed delivery may result in additional charges.
We recommend that installers, plant hire and installation materials — excavators, aggregates and so on — are not booked until you are in receipt of the goods. Tanks Direct cannot be held responsible for costs incurred due to unforeseen delays; please see our terms for more details.
