Fully Bunded for Additional Protection
The DESO V1340BT features a tank-within-a-tank design, providing secondary containment around the primary oil storage vessel.
Heating oil is stored within the inner tank, while the surrounding outer bund is designed to provide additional containment in the event of an internal leak.
This bunded construction provides greater security than a traditional single skin tank and helps reduce the risk of escaped oil contaminating the surrounding environment.
Compact Vertical Design
One of the biggest advantages of the V1340BT is its vertical shape.
With a diameter of approximately 1410mm, the tank provides 1340 litres of fuel storage without requiring the extended footprint of a horizontal or slimline tank.
The round, upright design makes efficient use of available ground space and is particularly useful where installation length is restricted.
Durable Polyethylene Construction
The V1340BT is rotationally moulded from premium-grade, oil-resistant polyethylene to create a strong and durable storage tank.
The polyethylene construction is resistant to corrosion and UV stabilised for outdoor use, providing a practical alternative to traditional steel oil tanks.
This robust construction provides excellent durability while requiring minimal ongoing maintenance.

We recommend not to book any installation or machinery until the tank has been delivered. We will not be responsible for any additional cost occurred with delayed deliveries.

Please ensure the product you are ordering is the correct size and suitable for the purpose. Special order, bespoke and non-stock tanks are not returnable. If you order a tank and find it is too big, too small, or unsuitable for your requirements, it can be expensive to return. Delivery charges
Our shipping costs cover most of the UK. However, parts of England, the Scottish Highlands and Islands (including areas north of the Glasgow / Edinburgh border), Isle of Wight, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Anglesey, Western Isles, Shetland Islands, Orkney Islands, Isles of Scilly, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland may cost more.

All our tanks are available for collection ex works. Our suppliers are based all over the UK — please call if you wish to collect.
Overseas orders
International orders are welcome. Payment is by IBAN / SWIFT / BIC, MoneyGram and letters of credit. We regret that credit cards are not accepted for international orders.
A purchase order is required; we will then create a pro-forma invoice, and tanks are ordered on clearance of funds.
If you require additional export documentation — for example a Certificate of Origin, or commercial invoices certified by the Chamber of Commerce — you must notify us before completion of your order, as we will have to invoice cost and admin charges to the order.

Offloading
Unless a HIAB delivery has been booked at additional cost, it is the customer’s responsibility to offload with suitable equipment on the day of delivery. A failed delivery may result in additional charges.
We recommend that installers, plant hire and installation materials — excavators, aggregates and so on — are not booked until you are in receipt of the goods. Tanks Direct cannot be held responsible for costs incurred due to unforeseen delays; please see our terms for more details.
