The DESO SL1250BT 1235 Litre Slimline Bunded Oil Tank is a practical and secure fuel storage solution designed for properties where available installation space is limited.
With a narrow width of just 650mm, the SL1250BT provides an impressive 1235 litre capacity without requiring the space of a conventional wide-bodied tank. Manufactured in the UK from high-grade polyethylene, the tank is corrosion resistant, impact resistant and UV stabilised for long-term outdoor use. Space-Saving Slimline Design
One of the biggest advantages of the DESO SL1250BT is its narrow 650mm width.
The slimline design allows the tank to fit into locations where a conventional round or horizontal tank could take up too much space. This makes it particularly useful alongside buildings, in narrow gardens and in other restricted installation areas.
Despite its narrow profile, the tank still provides a substantial 1235 litre capacity, combining excellent space efficiency with practical fuel storage.
Fully Bunded for Additional Protection
The SL1250BT features a tank-within-a-tank construction designed to provide an additional level of protection for stored fuel.
The inner tank acts as the primary fuel storage vessel, while the surrounding outer tank forms the secondary containment area.
Should the inner tank develop a leak, the outer bund is designed to contain the escaped fuel, helping protect the surrounding property and environment.
Secure Lockable Access
Protecting valuable heating oil and the tank's fittings is an important consideration for any outdoor fuel storage system.
The SL1250BT incorporates a lockable manhole cover, helping restrict unauthorised access while keeping important tank components conveniently positioned for filling, inspection and maintenance.
Delivery Information
Standard tank deliveries are kerbside, meaning the tank is delivered to the kerb and is not positioned further on site.
We recommend not to book any installation or machinery until the tank has been delivered. We will not be responsible for any additional cost occurred with delayed deliveries.

If you order a tank and find it is too big, too small, or unsuitable for your requirements, it can be expensive to return. Delivery charges
Our shipping costs cover most of the UK. However, parts of England, the Scottish Highlands and Islands (including areas north of the Glasgow / Edinburgh border), Isle of Wight, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Anglesey, Western Isles, Shetland Islands, Orkney Islands, Isles of Scilly, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland may cost more.

Overseas orders
International orders are welcome. Payment is by IBAN / SWIFT / BIC, MoneyGram and letters of credit. We regret that credit cards are not accepted for international orders.
A purchase order is required; we will then create a pro-forma invoice, and tanks are ordered on clearance of funds.
If you require additional export documentation — for example a Certificate of Origin, or commercial invoices certified by the Chamber of Commerce — you must notify us before completion of your order, as we will have to invoice cost and admin charges to the order.

Offloading
Unless a HIAB delivery has been booked at additional cost, it is the customer’s responsibility to offload with suitable equipment on the day of delivery. A failed delivery may result in additional charges.
We recommend that installers, plant hire and installation materials — excavators, aggregates and so on — are not booked until you are in receipt of the goods. Tanks Direct cannot be held responsible for costs incurred due to unforeseen delays; please see our terms for more details.
