The DESO V1230BT 1230 Litre Bunded Oil Tank is a compact and durable fuel storage solution designed for domestic and commercial applications.
With a capacity of 1230 litres, approximately 270 gallons, the V1230BT provides a useful amount of heating oil storage while occupying an exceptionally compact footprint. Its vertical cylindrical design makes efficient use of available ground space, making it particularly suitable for properties where installation space is limited.
Manufactured in the UK from high-grade polyethylene, the tank is corrosion resistant, impact resistant and UV stabilised for long-term outdoor use. The fully bunded tank-within-a-tank construction also provides additional protection against leaks and accidental fuel loss.

Compact Vertical Design
One of the biggest advantages of the DESO V1230BT is its compact footprint.
The tank has an overall diameter of approximately 1250mm and a footprint of approximately 1230mm, allowing 1230 litres of heating oil to be stored in a relatively small area.
The vertical design makes it particularly useful for properties with restricted installation space, including locations where a longer horizontal or slimline tank may not be practical.
Fully Bunded for Added Protection
The V1230BT features a tank-within-a-tank construction, providing secondary containment around the primary fuel storage vessel.
Heating oil is held inside the inner tank, while the surrounding outer tank acts as a protective bund. Should a leak occur from the primary tank, the outer bund is designed to contain the escaped fuel.
This additional level of protection makes the V1230BT a secure and practical choice for modern heating oil storage installations.
Durable Polyethylene Construction
The DESO V1230BT is manufactured from high-grade polyethylene designed specifically for demanding fuel storage applications.
The polyethylene construction provides excellent resistance to corrosion and offers high impact strength, while UV stabilisation helps protect the material during prolonged outdoor exposure.
Unlike conventional steel tanks, the polyethylene body will not rust, helping provide a durable and relatively low-maintenance heating oil storage solution.
Delivery Information
Standard tank deliveries are kerbside, meaning the tank is delivered to the kerb and is not positioned further on site.
We recommend not to book any installation or machinery until the tank has been delivered. We will not be responsible for any additional cost occurred with delayed deliveries.
Failed deliveries may result in additional charges.

If you order a tank and find it is too big, too small, or unsuitable for your requirements, it can be expensive to return. Delivery charges
Our shipping costs cover most of the UK. However, parts of England, the Scottish Highlands and Islands (including areas north of the Glasgow / Edinburgh border), Isle of Wight, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Anglesey, Western Isles, Shetland Islands, Orkney Islands, Isles of Scilly, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland may cost more.

Overseas orders
International orders are welcome. Payment is by IBAN / SWIFT / BIC, MoneyGram and letters of credit. We regret that credit cards are not accepted for international orders.
A purchase order is required; we will then create a pro-forma invoice, and tanks are ordered on clearance of funds.
If you require additional export documentation — for example a Certificate of Origin, or commercial invoices certified by the Chamber of Commerce — you must notify us before completion of your order, as we will have to invoice cost and admin charges to the order.

Offloading
Unless a HIAB delivery has been booked at additional cost, it is the customer’s responsibility to offload with suitable equipment on the day of delivery. A failed delivery may result in additional charges.
We recommend that installers, plant hire and installation materials — excavators, aggregates and so on — are not booked until you are in receipt of the goods. Tanks Direct cannot be held responsible for costs incurred due to unforeseen delays; please see our terms for more details.
