Product Overview
The 1000 Litre Upright Baffled Water Tank is a robust above-ground storage and transportation tank manufactured from durable HDPE / polyethylene. Designed for potable water and suitable for a wide range of liquid storage applications, its upright configuration provides a relatively narrow footprint while the integrated baffling helps minimise liquid movement during transportation.
The internal baffling is particularly beneficial when the tank is used to transport water or other suitable liquids. The baffles reduce side-to-side movement and water surge, helping to improve stability during transportation.
With an approximate usable capacity of 960 litres, the tank is well suited to professional applications including mobile water supply, window cleaning, vehicle valeting, agriculture and general commercial liquid storage.

How the Baffling Works
Unlike a standard unbaffled storage tank, this model incorporates internal baffling designed to restrict the movement of liquid inside the tank.
During transportation, liquid can surge from side to side as a vehicle accelerates, brakes or changes direction. The tank's internal grooves and openings interrupt this movement, helping to reduce liquid surge and improve stability.
This makes the tank particularly suitable for applications where water needs to be transported regularly rather than simply stored in a fixed position.
Water tanks can be extremely hazardous when transporting large volumes of liquids. Please make sure that they are installed and secured by a suitable qualified person before transportation.

Delivery charges
Our shipping costs cover most of the UK. However, parts of England, the Scottish Highlands and Islands (including areas north of the Glasgow / Edinburgh border), Isle of Wight, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Anglesey, Western Isles, Shetland Islands, Orkney Islands, Isles of Scilly, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland may cost more.

All our tanks are available for collection ex works. Our suppliers are based all over the UK — please call if you wish to collect.
Overseas orders
International orders are welcome. Payment is by IBAN / SWIFT / BIC, MoneyGram and letters of credit. We regret that credit cards are not accepted for international orders.
A purchase order is required; we will then create a pro-forma invoice, and tanks are ordered on clearance of funds.
If you require additional export documentation — for example a Certificate of Origin, or commercial invoices certified by the Chamber of Commerce — you must notify us before completion of your order, as we will have to invoice cost and admin charges to the order.

Offloading
Unless a HIAB delivery has been booked at additional cost, it is the customer’s responsibility to offload with suitable equipment on the day of delivery. A failed delivery may result in additional charges.
We recommend that installers, plant hire and installation materials — excavators, aggregates and so on — are not booked until you are in receipt of the goods. Tanks Direct cannot be held responsible for costs incurred due to unforeseen delays; please see our terms for more details.
