Deso 1000 Litre Slimline Bunded Heating Oil Tank
The DESO SL1000BT 1000 Litre Slimline Bunded Oil Tank is a practical and dependable solution for storing heating oil where installation space is limited.
With a narrow width of approximately 645mm, the SL1000BT is designed to make efficient use of restricted spaces while still providing a useful 1000 litre, approximately 220 gallon, storage capacity. Its slim profile makes it particularly suitable for domestic gardens, narrow access areas and commercial premises where a conventional wider tank may not be practical.
Manufactured in the UK from premium-grade polyethylene, the tank provides excellent resistance to corrosion and outdoor conditions. The fully bunded tank-within-a-tank construction provides an additional layer of protection against leaks, helping keep stored fuel safely contained.
Supplied with essential fittings including an overfill prevention valve, inspection access, vent, 1" BSP bottom outlet and lockable access cover, the DESO SL1000BT provides a comprehensive solution for secure, long-term fuel storage.

Slimline Design for Restricted Spaces
One of the biggest advantages of the DESO SL1000BT is its narrow design.
At approximately 645mm wide, the tank can be positioned in locations where a wider conventional oil tank may not be suitable. This makes it particularly useful for properties with narrow gardens, pathways and restricted installation areas.
The slim profile also helps make efficient use of valuable outdoor space while retaining a full 1000 litre storage capacity.
Fully Bunded for Added Protection
The SL1000BT uses a tank-within-a-tank design to provide an additional level of protection for stored fuel.
The inner tank acts as the primary storage vessel, while the surrounding outer tank forms the secondary containment area. Should the inner tank develop a leak, the outer bund is designed to contain the escaped fuel.
This provides greater security than a traditional single skin tank and helps protect the surrounding property and environment.
Secure Lockable Access
The DESO SL1000BT features a lockable access lid, helping keep important tank fittings secure and protecting against unauthorised interference.
The lockable area provides convenient access when filling, inspecting or maintaining the tank while keeping the components protected during everyday use.
Delivery Information
Standard tank deliveries are kerbside, meaning the tank is delivered to the kerb and is not positioned further on site.
We recommend not to book any installation or machinery until the tank has been delivered. We will not be responsible for any additional cost occurred with delayed deliveries.
Failed deliveries may result in additional charges.

Please ensure the product you are ordering is the correct size and suitable for the purpose. Special order, bespoke and non-stock tanks are not returnable. If you order a tank and find it is too big, too small, or unsuitable for your requirements, it can be expensive to return. Delivery charges
Our shipping costs cover most of the UK. However, parts of England, the Scottish Highlands and Islands (including areas north of the Glasgow / Edinburgh border), Isle of Wight, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Anglesey, Western Isles, Shetland Islands, Orkney Islands, Isles of Scilly, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland may cost more.

All our tanks are available for collection ex works. Our suppliers are based all over the UK — please call if you wish to collect.
Overseas orders
International orders are welcome. Payment is by IBAN / SWIFT / BIC, MoneyGram and letters of credit. We regret that credit cards are not accepted for international orders.
A purchase order is required; we will then create a pro-forma invoice, and tanks are ordered on clearance of funds.
If you require additional export documentation — for example a Certificate of Origin, or commercial invoices certified by the Chamber of Commerce — you must notify us before completion of your order, as we will have to invoice cost and admin charges to the order.

Offloading
Unless a HIAB delivery has been booked at additional cost, it is the customer’s responsibility to offload with suitable equipment on the day of delivery. A failed delivery may result in additional charges.
We recommend that installers, plant hire and installation materials — excavators, aggregates and so on — are not booked until you are in receipt of the goods. Tanks Direct cannot be held responsible for costs incurred due to unforeseen delays; please see our terms for more details.
