Strong Galvanised Steel Construction
The tank uses corrugated galvanised steel panels to provide the structural strength required for storing a large quantity of water.
The steel is approved to BS2989:1982 and galvanised using lead-free zinc to 275g/m² in accordance with EN10142.
This galvanised finish helps protect the steel while creating a strong external structure suitable for outdoor water storage across farms, commercial premises and horticultural sites.
40% Structural Safety Margin
The tank incorporates a minimum 40% structural safety margin, providing additional strength within its overall design.
This figure relates to the structural capability of the tank and does not mean that it can hold 40% more water. The stated maximum storage capacity should not be exceeded.
Durable Greenseal EPDM Liner
Water is contained within a flexible Greenseal EPDM liner, providing the watertight layer inside the corrugated steel structure.
The 0.75mm EPDM liner offers excellent resistance to abrasion, cutting and UV exposure, making it well suited to demanding outdoor water storage applications.
Together, the galvanised steel shell and flexible liner create a practical system for storing significant quantities of water.
Supplied in Kit Form
The sectional design allows the tank to be supplied in kit form rather than arriving as one large pre-assembled vessel.
This can make transportation and site access considerably easier, especially where manoeuvring a conventional one-piece tank of a similar capacity would be challenging.
A photographic instruction manual is provided to assist with assembly. Correct site preparation and installation requirements should always be followed before the tank is constructed and filled.

Delivery charges
Our shipping costs cover most of the UK. However, parts of England, the Scottish Highlands and Islands (including areas north of the Glasgow / Edinburgh border), Isle of Wight, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Anglesey, Western Isles, Shetland Islands, Orkney Islands, Isles of Scilly, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland may cost more.

All our tanks are available for collection ex works. Our suppliers are based all over the UK — please call if you wish to collect.
Overseas orders
International orders are welcome. Payment is by IBAN / SWIFT / BIC, MoneyGram and letters of credit. We regret that credit cards are not accepted for international orders.
A purchase order is required; we will then create a pro-forma invoice, and tanks are ordered on clearance of funds.
If you require additional export documentation — for example a Certificate of Origin, or commercial invoices certified by the Chamber of Commerce — you must notify us before completion of your order, as we will have to invoice cost and admin charges to the order.

Offloading
Unless a HIAB delivery has been booked at additional cost, it is the customer’s responsibility to offload with suitable equipment on the day of delivery. A failed delivery may result in additional charges.
We recommend that installers, plant hire and installation materials — excavators, aggregates and so on — are not booked until you are in receipt of the goods. Tanks Direct cannot be held responsible for costs incurred due to unforeseen delays; please see our terms for more details.
