With a height of just 970mm, the LP1200BT offers a generous 1200 litre capacity while maintaining a low-profile design. This makes it particularly useful for gardens, exposed locations and properties where a taller vertical tank may be unsuitable or visually intrusive.
Manufactured from premium-grade, oil-resistant polyethylene, the LP1200BT is designed to withstand long-term outdoor use. Its fully bunded construction provides secondary containment around the inner storage tank, offering additional protection against leaks and accidental fuel loss.
Supplied with essential fittings including an overfill prevention valve, inspection access, vent, 1" BSP bottom outlet and lockable access cover, the LP1200BT provides a complete and dependable solution for heating oil storage.

Low Profile Design
One of the standout features of the DESO LP1200BT is its low overall height.
At approximately 970mm tall, the tank provides 1200 litres of storage while remaining significantly lower than many conventional vertical oil tanks.
This low-profile construction can be particularly beneficial where a tank needs to sit below a window, behind screening or in a location where keeping the installation as unobtrusive as possible is important.
Fully Bunded Construction
The LP1200BT features a tank-within-a-tank design for greater protection when storing heating oil.
The inner tank acts as the primary fuel storage vessel, while the outer tank forms a secondary containment area. If the inner tank develops a leak, the surrounding bund is designed to contain the escaped fuel.
This provides additional security for your stored heating oil while helping reduce the potential risk of contamination to the surrounding environment.
Delivery Information
Standard tank deliveries are kerbside, meaning the tank is delivered to the kerb and is not positioned further on site.
We recommend not to book any installation or machinery until the tank has been delivered. We will not be responsible for any additional cost occurred with delayed deliveries.
Failed deliveries may result in additional charges.

If you order a tank and find it is too big, too small, or unsuitable for your requirements, it can be expensive to return. Delivery charges
Our shipping costs cover most of the UK. However, parts of England, the Scottish Highlands and Islands (including areas north of the Glasgow / Edinburgh border), Isle of Wight, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Anglesey, Western Isles, Shetland Islands, Orkney Islands, Isles of Scilly, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland may cost more.

Overseas orders
International orders are welcome. Payment is by IBAN / SWIFT / BIC, MoneyGram and letters of credit. We regret that credit cards are not accepted for international orders.
A purchase order is required; we will then create a pro-forma invoice, and tanks are ordered on clearance of funds.
If you require additional export documentation — for example a Certificate of Origin, or commercial invoices certified by the Chamber of Commerce — you must notify us before completion of your order, as we will have to invoice cost and admin charges to the order.

Offloading
Unless a HIAB delivery has been booked at additional cost, it is the customer’s responsibility to offload with suitable equipment on the day of delivery. A failed delivery may result in additional charges.
We recommend that installers, plant hire and installation materials — excavators, aggregates and so on — are not booked until you are in receipt of the goods. Tanks Direct cannot be held responsible for costs incurred due to unforeseen delays; please see our terms for more details.
