Kingspan Parts FAQs
How do I identify the correct part for my Kingspan tank?
Every Kingspan tank has a serial number and model designation moulded into the tank itself, usually near the manway or on a data plate. Quote this when ordering, as parts such as lids, risers and diffusers are often specific to a particular tank generation and won't necessarily fit an older or newer version. If you're unsure, a clear photo of the data plate alongside the tank's approximate age usually lets us match the part correctly.
Are Kingspan spare parts interchangeable with other manufacturers' tanks?
Generally no. Kingspan's mouldings, thread patterns and fitting positions are proprietary, so lids, seals and internal components are designed to match specific Kingspan ranges such as Klargester or BioDisc. Fitting a non-Kingspan part can compromise the seal or structural integrity of the tank, which matters for both performance and any warranty claim.
What are the most commonly replaced parts on a Kingspan sewage treatment plant?
Air blowers and diffusers wear fastest, as they run continuously to aerate the tank, followed by control panels, alarm float switches and manway lids that can crack or perish with age and UV exposure. Filters and non-return valves also need periodic replacement as part of routine servicing. Keeping a spare blower or diffuser on hand reduces downtime if one fails unexpectedly.
Can I fit Kingspan replacement parts myself, or do I need an installer?
Straightforward items like lids, risers and alarm units can usually be fitted by a competent homeowner or groundworker. However, anything involving the electrical control panel, blower wiring or work inside the tank chamber should be handled by a qualified engineer, both for safety and to keep any service warranty intact. If you're replacing a part on a system under a maintenance contract, check with your service provider first.
What lead times should I expect for Kingspan parts?
Common items such as lids, seals and standard risers are typically held in stock and dispatched quickly. More specialist components, particularly older or discontinued models, may need to be sourced directly from Kingspan and can take longer. If your system is out of action, let us know when ordering so we can flag any parts likely to take extra time.
My Kingspan tank is an older model — can I still get parts for it?
Kingspan has acquired several brands over the years, including Klargester, and support for legacy models varies by age and range. Many older parts are still available, but some have been superseded by updated equivalents that fit the same tank with minor adaptation. Send us the model details and we'll confirm what's currently available or what the correct modern replacement is.
