Recycling in the UK
In terms of recycling in the UK, WRAP (Waste and Resources Action Programme) is a non-profit organization that works towards reducing waste and promoting sustainable resource use. It was founded in 2000 and is funded by the UK government and the administrations in Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.
WRAP works in partnership with businesses, local authorities, and individuals to promote sustainable consumption and reduce waste. Its initiatives include developing resources to help businesses reduce waste and increase recycling, promoting sustainable food production and consumption, and providing information and resources to households to help them reduce waste and recycle more effectively.
