It switches over to incoming mains water automatically, with no intervention needed, so the property keeps access to water in the event of a system failure.

In normal operation, the boosted supply pressure is higher than the mains pressure, which keeps the Double Check Valve closed. If the pump fails or is switched off, the system reverts to mains pressure. It is intended for domestic and light commercial use.

Conventional bypass arrangements are often associated with stagnant water or backflow hazards. The DPT Bypass Valve has a very small internal volume, and water movement on both sides (towards the cistern and from the pump) helps to ensure regular flushing. It can only be used in non-category 5 arrangements.

Key features

Automatic switching to mains water if the booster pump fails

Easy installation: can be fitted horizontally or vertically, with the inlet facing either side

Very small internal volume, with flushing from both sides

Four isolation valves for easy removal and cleaning of the check valve

DZR brass body with brass valves and POM cartridges

Female BSP thread connections

Domestic and light commercial use

Available in six sizes from 1/2" to 2"

Specifications

Sizes available

1/2", 3/4", 1", 1 1/4", 1 1/2", 2"

Connection

Female BSP thread

Body

DZR brass

Valves

Brass

Cartridges

POM

Maximum supply pressure

10 bar

Temperature

65 degrees

Suitable for

Domestic and light commercial use

Arrangement limit

Non-category 5 arrangements only
